That’s why storytelling and exploration are the themes for this retreat and “la ville en rose” - the city known for its innovation and discovery - provides the inspirational surroundings.
During masterclasses and self-development workshops we will hone in on your narrative, celebrating how it influences you and where it could lead, and together, we’ll start a new and exciting chapter.

Château d´Issus is our home for this retreat.
A beautiful 17th-century château framed by the French countryside, this inviting and impressive abode has a variety of communal spaces for our group to gather in, ideal for our masterclasses and meal times.
Bedrooms - which can be shared or individual occupancy - are rustic meets traditional French offering lavish beds for a peaceful slumber and sumptuous bathrooms, with some featuring roll top baths.
Surrounded by 4 hectares of gorgeous gardens, it also features a picture-perfect pool and an orchard, so we're hoping for pleasant weather.
You can even visit the chicken coop to collect the eggs, fresh every day.

Simone Smith’s masterclass will help you uncover the story of your life through what you love. Starting with the story of your name, she will guide you to uncover what it means to you before diving into the story you tell yourself about who you are. By understanding our script, we can then begin to rewrite it and own our own story. After all, we are the authors of our own life.
Navigating your blind spots
In this masterclass, Simone Smith will lead us through a reflection on the concept of the Drowning Man syndrome and each person’s level of tolerance to survive. What limits you? What drives you to do the things you do? Why do you behave the way you behave?
Increasing our self-awareness and understanding of what drives us can help us identify the ”driver behaviour”, i.e. what is weighing us down, what limiting belief we hold on to, and how can we overcome it to navigate to success? This will be the foundation of creating possibilities so you can live in your passion with a true understanding of your life purpose.

Weaving storytelling throughout your brand marketing can be like gold dust for your company.
During this masterclass, Victoria Gibson will provide a detailed overview of marketing and PR in today’s world, and how a well-told story is at the heart of any communications that represent you or your company.
We’ll delve into your brand story and take a look at the techniques that journalists use to seek out the surprising and unexpected elements of a story, followed by how to piece the puzzle together.
Whether you’re in marketing or not, this workshop can help you to evaluate your current story and learn how to communicate your story to attract business and create a communications plan.

Mastermind masterclass
The Mastermind masterclass is the last workshop on our retreats, and there’s a reason that it’s the big finale.
This powerful workshop embodies all of the self-reflection and self-development work we have been doing during our time together. We conclude with meaningful decisions, as well as next-step deliverables to achieve the success that is personal to you.
Moderated by Raj Hayer, the Mastermind motivates the group of peers to dramatically leverage each other’s successes, bring thoughts and desires together and share feedback and progress on how they can own their story and share it with the world.
It creates a higher collective intelligence that guides the group and individuals forward.
Throughout, Raj creates a synergy of energy, commitment, and excitement with the participants, encouraging the group to raise the bar for themselves, challenge each other to create and implement goals, brainstorm ideas and support each other within a respectful and compassionate environment.
Guided meditation
Every morning, Raj will lead a guided meditation session.
Meditation is a critical tool to enable energy and efficiency to progress into a happier future, making it a really positive way to start the day.
“Inner bliss = Outer calm” which enables less anger, less anxiety, healthier relationships with others, and more importantly, with ourselves.
We can use different forms of meditation at different times, for different needs, throughout our lives. Once we know the techniques, we can shift into them as needed to create: Calm, focus, energy and bliss.
This is an optional part of the day, although we highly recommend it.

Four nights accommodation in a 17th-century château. Vintage chic, our French bolthole offers space for productive workshops, areas for reflection and secluded spots to relax. Tucked away within the French countryside, we are just 20 minutes from Toulouse city centre.

Four masterclasses. Each one with a different focus and objective to inspire positive change within your life. You will gain valuable insights into your own behaviours with a psychotherapeutic counsellor, Simone Smith. Raj Hayer, a business and life coach, will help you re-invest in your ideas and goals with achievable outcomes. Victoria Gibson, marketing and PR consultant will delve into communications techniques.

Four mornings of meditation sessions. Every day, we’ll start with a reinvigorating and awakening meditation session to boost our positivity and energy for the day ahead.

Four evening spiritual and stretching sessions. We’ll close the day with a calming and reflection session that will expand our thoughts and bring us into the present to celebrate what we’re experiencing.

Three experts in their field and 6-8 participants. Our retreats are an opportunity to network. They’re a chance to meet new people from all walks of life with different backgrounds that can offer a variety of perspectives to enrich our lives. Plus, it’s good for our well-being to make new friends.

Eleven meals. During your stay, you will benefit from a physical reset, which includes a scrumptious array of dishes developed by qualified nutritionist Daniela Exley. Any dietary requirements will be met.

'Me’ time. After all, this is a retreat. While every day we will be doing a little work, there will be an opportunity to relax too. Whether you would like to reflect on the day so far, read a book, enjoy a walk or go for a swim. The time is yours.

Inspiring experiences. On a Mayfly Maven Retreat, we like to celebrate the cultural surroundings. As we’re in the city of exploration, we’ll surprise you with a visit to a meaningful and inspirational location.

Memories. Throughout the retreat, we’ll take pictures and document our time together. Once we’ve left Toulouse, we will share these with the group so that you can have access to a variety of memorable moments from our time together.
